The European ScreeningPort has several project funding models:

• Direct funding of specific projects by a sponsoring institution (e.g. University) or consortium (e.g. University + Research foundation). The majority of European ScreeningPort projects will use this arrangement.
• Grant calls from the BMBF (German Ministry of Science), the European Union and other partner funding organisations which have earmarked specific funds for drug discovery projects. These calls involve a formal application and are subject to peer review.
• Partnership funding where European ScreeningPort provides 'in-kind' resourcing of screening projects in collaboration with the academic partner.

We support our customers in the preparation of grant applications with our in depth experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Pilot screens will help in determining the potential druggability of the target and should increase the chances of a successful funding application.
