As a part of its integrated service, European ScreeningPort (ESP) additionally offers to complement our customers project management capacities. The team of European ScreeningPort has a strong background in project management working on multiple Hit finding and Hit-to-Lead programs in large Pharmaceutical organisations. Thus we combine the professional project management approach of the Pharmaceutical Industry with the agility and responsiveness of a Biotech. This is based on our experience that ‘one solution fits all’ approaches are rarely effective.

An outline of the timelines of a standard project is given here. European ScreeningPort is offering to support academic organizations throughout the whole process.  Alternatively, customers are welcome to access the process at any stage of the project.

Our own in-house capabilities and close working relationship with carefully selected industrial partners mean our academic collaborators can access the hit finding and lead optimisation facilities found in state-of-the-art Pharmaceutical labs, but without the substantial capital investment. We can support medicinal chemistry programs, using either 3rd party or our own chemistry providers. With multiple assays for selectivity and in-vitro safety assessment studies, we are able to advance screening hits rapidly into fully characterised lead series.

Our project management is supported by ViSoR, an innovative and commercially available software solution for supporting the drug discovery process in the area of assay and virtual screening, developed by c.a.r.u.s. IT AG.
The use of ViSOR allows for a great transparency, tracking and control of the project at any stage for all partners involved in a particular project. Features include:
